Holly McMurtry-Sweet
Praise Leader | Lead Vocals
Holly was raised in Moneta, VA by musical parents Mel & Shirley Sweet. At the age of 7, she began serving with her family's gospel band in area churches throughout Virginia. During her teens and early adulthood, she continued singing in locals bands, exploring genres including gospel, country, bluegrass and R&B, then pursued a professional musical career in Nashville, TN for over a decade.
Holly serves as worship leader at Oakland Baptist Church, Roanoke. She is the proud mother of her daughter, Ella, and wife to Dan McMurtry. She serves as producer, praise leader and digital marketing manager for Living Lyrics.

Betsy Slease
Band Leader | Keys | Vocals
Betsy’s love of music began at the age of 5 when she began taking piano lessons. She is classically trained, which formed the basis for learning other genres of music. Betsy studied piano at Penn State for 2 years while earning her bachelors degree. She has played for a variety of schools and churches in Pennsylvania and Virginia over the years, primarily as an accompanist. She also enjoys playing solo piano when the opportunity arises.
After a long hiatus from organized religion, Betsy began attending Journey Church in 2016 and began playing in their worship band in 2017. She is currently a keyboardist with the Journey Church Worship team.
Betsy serves as band leader for Living Lyrics where she strives to connect with others through the gift of music.

Jimmy Overstreet
Bass Guitar
Jimmy Overstreet has been playing bass since he was a teenager, performing in bands throughout the years in the Roanoke area. He has served on praise teams for several churches during the past few years, currently serving at Bedrock Community Church, Bedford.
Jimmy is the proud husband of Angela Dellis Overstreet. Together they have raised three amazing sons and love focusing their life on their family and Jesus.
Jimmy Overstreet has been playing bass since he was a teenager, performing in bands throughout the years in the Roanoke area. He has served on praise teams for several churches during the past few years, currently serving at Bedrock Community Church, Bedford.

Chuck Clark
Drums
Chuck is a self taught drummer who has not only served with several local Roanoke bands thoughout the years, but has also assisted in developing contemporary worship teams at area churches.
Chuck currently serves with the worship team at Journey Church, Roanoke.

Scott Sarver
Guitarist | Series 1 & 2
Scott began developing his spiritual gift of music during his teenage years, focusing on electric guitar. He performed and recorded several albums with a local Roanoke, VA based band AIM from the mid '90's through 2010, while also serving in several church praise bands. For the past decade, he has served at Fellowship Community Church North Campus.
Scott has been blessed with his loving wife of 26 years, Lisa, and three beautiful daughters.
Scott began developing his spiritual gift of music during his teenage years, focusing on electric guitar. Jim Gober
Guitarist | Series 3
Self-taught on the guitar, Jim’s love of music started very early in life. Around age 13 he saw two of his family members each playing guitar and immediately knew that is what he was going to do. The next Christmas he received his first guitar.
Over the years Jim has played in several bands in the area. Although a rock and roller at heart, Jim has been blessed to be able diversify into country, R&B, soul, funk and modern Christian music. He is still involved with two bands. Jim also serves on the worship team at Journey Church.
